You will exit at the Downtown Elkins exit from US 33 east (DO NOT USE the Crystal Springs/Old US 33 exit. The Downtown Elkins exit is much easier). Take a right turn at the bottom of the exit ramp. Go straight until you come to a stoplight and you will see the Rail Yard Depot in the near distance. Stay straight at the stoplight. Traveling from US 219, US 250, or US 33 west from the western Virginia general area, you will follow these routes until you arrive in Elkins at the Railroad Avenue (Go-Mart) stoplight. At this light, turn left. The Rail Yard Restaurant will be ahead and on the right.

Eating outside on our fabulous 2nd story covered deck is enhanced by the perfect view of the Rail Yard. Watch the trains come and go and on Summer Saturday mornings the colorful Farmer’s Market is held on the town square. A great place to enjoy a great meal.

The Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad’s Rail & Trail Store offers a great variety of unique train souvenirs and gifts.  The store is located on the ground floor inside the restaurant.

Hours

Monday thru Saturday—8am to 9pm

Sunday—8am to 8pm

So much to see I could not fill my arms up enough!

Such inventive and cuit gifts. Tastefully done. Things I have either never seen or remember when I was a “kid”. Really nice selection. Especially liked the wooden things and the “Railroad Engineer” cap!
